Another lovely customer photo to share with you.  This time from Zoe of The Sewing Croft. I just love having a nose at other people’s creative spaces and Zoe’s is lovely.  I can imagine quite happily whiling away an afternoon sewing and making in her studio!  Which reminds me, I really should get around to fixing my little space up how I want it!

Thanks Zoe for sharing.  To check out some of the beautiful items Zoe makes, you can visit her Etsy shop.

I do love autumn, the colours, the smells, the changes of the scenery around us.  However, I don’t know about you but talk about back down to earth with a bump!  The cooler weather is setting in, it’s getting darker earlier, and the sporting excitement of the last couple of months is finally over.

So how about a little pick me up?

This week I’m offering 50% off all prints and 15% off all paintings in my Etsy shop.  That includes custom painting orders too!

To get your discount simply use the following coupon codes when you checkout
For prints: PRINTS50

I popped down to the Penta Hotel in Reading to drop of two of my paintings this evening for this weekend’s Reading Arts Week exhibition.  It’s free to get in and showcases a wide range of professional and up and coming artists from across Reading.

You can find out more on Facebook, the Reading Borough Council website, or you can follow on Twitter.

It looks like it’s going to be a soggy weekend so why not pop along for something to do!

I’ve now got a Sale Section in my Etsy shop.  This is where you can pick up paintings at a reduced price.  Take a look and you can see some of the paintings for sale!

I’m pleased to share with you that I’m going to be part of Reading Arts Week from 23rd to 29th of June 2012. Two of my pieces are going to be part of the exhibition at the Penta Hotel in Reading on 23rd & 24th June.  There’s a flyer below to give you more information.  I will also have a pop-up shop on a couple of dates in that week – more details to follow soon.

How was your bank holiday weekend?  Mine was good, fairly relaxing albeit rather wet!  Back to the grindstone today mind you!

Seeing as this grey, wet, weather doesn’t seem to want to leave us, I’ve decided to offer buy on get one free on all prints in my Etsy store this week.  In order to take advantage of the offer, simply add one print to your basket and when you checkout, tell me which print design you’d like as your free one.  Simple!

I’ve had a very busy few weeks but I’ve finally found some time to recap it all on my blog!

New Flower Paintings

So, first of all, I have my new collection of flower paintings that I’m working on.  As with the trees, I’m working on them obsessively right now so expect of variations to come! You can see one of them pictured below.  You can also look through the available pieces in my Etsy store.

Art on the Street Award Final
This week I was pleased to be a finalist in Maidenhead’s Art on the Street awards.  The award was open to everyone who took part in Art on the Street in 2011.  In the end the award went to very deserving winners, Slough Arts Society so congratulations to them!  It was lovely to be considered as a finalist though – very unexpected to be honest.
Dorothy and Theodore
You can now buy my paintings from Dorothy & Theodore.  There are also a selection of prints available for sale & more prints to follow.
Prints
I will be adding to my range of prints available through my Etsy store and you can now also buy larger prints on canvas and also fine art paper via Saatchi Online.
EBSQ Registration
I am now an EBSQ registered artist.  What this means to you is that all my work is registered and each painting will now come with a Certificate of Authenticity and unique reference number so you can claim it as your own.
Custom Works
I’ve had a busy couple of months creating custom paintings which is great.  I love the challenge of colour-matching paintings to people’s home colour schemes and have had some lovely feedback from people.
Reading Half Marathon
I completed Reading Half Marathon which you may remember I signed up to as part of the Running for Harry team.  We’ve jointly raised over £5600 so far.  I’m doing Torbay Half Marathon in June which I hope will be a bit easier due to more training & more weight loss.  I’ll keep you posted!
I think that’s it for now, thanks for reading!  Catch up soon!

I’ve been ever so busy over the last week! I began work on a new collection of abstract flower paintings and I’m really pleased with the results so far. I created them using heavy-bodied acrylic paints, and Liquitex pouring medium & string gel.

Here is one of them for you to see. Lots more of these in different colours, sizes, and shapes to follow!
